Install gh CLI so Cline composer shows live PR and CI status
Cline desktop v0.0.26 surfaces the current branch's GitHub PR (number, merge status, changed-line totals, CI checks) in the composer. Install and sign in with gh against a GitHub.com origin, then create PRs and inspect CI logs in-composer. Cline does not push or submit PRs.Why this loop
desktop-v0.0.26 puts the current branch's GitHub PR in Cline's composer: number, merge status, changed-line totals, and CI. Click through to the browser or expand CI for per-check logs; status refreshes every 30s while visible, on window focus, and on demand. No PR means Create PR opens GitHub's comparison form. This requires gh installed and signed in plus a GitHub.com origin; the row hides on the default branch, detached HEAD, and unsupported remotes. Cline does not push commits or submit the PR, so the workflow is stay off the default branch, keep gh authenticated, create the PR from the composer, then watch CI there.
Same release: Customize is one list (Tools, Plugins, Skills, Rules, MCP, Hooks) opening on Tools, with Tools search and visible-only Enable all/Disable all, and Skills in-place enable/disable so disabled skills are no longer hidden. Composer picker lists Cline Pass after a Cline sign-in, adds Set up another provider, and drops the Configured checkmark. Codex sign-out clears legacy credentials. CLI auth failures (Claude Code, Codex CLI, OpenCode) point at that CLI. Telemetry traces only Cline/Cline Pass. New recurring schedules default to local timezone. Nested PowerShell is unwrapped so $_ is not interpolated away.
Proposed actions
- Install GitHub CLI and sign in to github.com (
gh auth login --hostname github.com, thengh auth status). Cline's composer PR row requires gh installed and signed in. - Confirm the repo is eligible:
git remote get-url originmust be a GitHub.com URL, and you must be on a non-default branch (not detached HEAD). The PR row hides itself otherwise. - On a feature branch with no PR, click Create PR in Cline's composer to open GitHub's comparison form (Cline will not push or submit). After the PR exists, click the composer row to open it in the browser, or expand CI to inspect individual checks and logs (refreshes every 30s while visible, on focus, and on demand).
- In Customize, open Tools (now the first tab). Use the search bar, then Enable all/Disable all on the visible section only. On Skills, use the in-place enable/disable toggle so previously hidden disabled skills are reachable; Copy path / Uninstall from the same menu Plugins use.
- In the composer provider picker, choose Cline Pass if you already signed into Cline (one sign-in configures both; Cline Pass and free models report zero cost), or click Set up another provider to open Settings → Models. If ChatGPT/Codex still appears after sign-out, sign out again so legacy Codex credentials are cleared. For Claude Code, Codex CLI, or OpenCode auth errors, run that CLI's login instead of Settings → Models.
