Who we are
DevAgentRadar is a free hobby project operated by Manohar Tallapaneni as a public information site for the coding-assistant community — not a commercial data product. Privacy questions: LinkedIn. See also About and Terms of use.
What the product does with your data
- Public radar content (releases, proposals, guidance) is stored on our servers and shown to everyone. It is not personal data about you.
- My stack & personal proposal loop live in your browser (
localStorage) by default — no account required. They are not shown as your identity to others. - Optional cloud preferences — if you sign in with Google (or a local password account), we store a copy of your stack, webhook URL, alert toggle, and proposal decisions/checklists so they can sync across devices. On first sign-in we merge browser data with any existing cloud copy (union of tools; newest decisions win). Sign out anytime; local copy remains on that device.
- Community signal & content feedback (proposal tallies, thumbs on guidance / releases / assistant coverage) are anonymous public aggregates. We store a hashed visitor ballot (via
radarai_voter) so each visitor has one ballot per item. We do not require an account. Re-clicking the same thumb clears your vote. - Sign-in session uses a first-party
radar_sessioncookie after Google OAuth or password login (Lab tools + preference sync). - Google Sign-In (optional) receives your email, name, and profile image from Google solely to create or link an account. We do not post to Google on your behalf. You can use DevAgentRadar fully without Google.
Cookies we use
We follow a category model used by privacy-conscious public web apps: necessary cookies always run; preferences and analytics require your choice. Consent is stored for up to 180 days (you can change it anytime).

Helps us understand aggregate usage (e.g. which pages are useful) via Google Analytics 4. The Google tag may load with analytics storage denied; cookies and stored analytics only activate after you opt in. You can turn this off anytime in Cookie settings.

Local storage (not cookies)
Features such as My stack, proposal approve/defer/ignore, and action checklist progress use localStorage in your browser so the loop works without an account. If you sign in, the same data may also be stored on our servers under your user id for multi-device sync. Clear site data in your browser to remove the local copy; contact the operator to delete a cloud account if needed.
Analytics & third parties
Optional analytics use Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC) with Consent Mode. The Google tag script may load on pages so the measurement endpoint can initialize, but analytics storage stays denied until you enable the Analytics category. We do not load advertising networks or sell personal data.
- Purpose — understand aggregate usage of DevAgentRadar (which pages are useful, rough device and geography trends) so we can improve the free product.
- What may be collected (after opt-in) — page paths and titles, approximate location derived from IP, browser/device type, referrer, and standard technical metadata Google Analytics records. We configure IP anonymization on the client configuration where supported.
- Cookies — Google may set
_gaand related_ga_*identifiers only after you grant Analytics (Consent Modeanalytics_storagegranted). Until then storage remains denied. - Who processes data — Google, under its own terms for Analytics. See Google's privacy policy and Google Analytics data safeguards.
- Revoke — turn Analytics off in Cookie settingsanytime. New hits stop after revoke; existing Google cookies may remain until you clear site data or they expire. You can also use browser controls or Google's Analytics opt-out add-on.
Your choices
- Use the first-visit banner: Accept all (includes optional Google Analytics), Reject non-essential (no analytics), or Manage preferences (pick categories).
- Re-open settings anytime via Cookie settings in the footer.
- Block cookies in your browser; necessary features (Lab login) may stop working.

If you are in the EEA/UK, we rely on (i) strictly necessary cookies for core operation and (ii) consent for optional preferences and analytics. This notice is designed for a free global product; operators should review local requirements before production deployment.
